Learn to Quilt, one-on-one
Silana Stitchworks offers individualized classes in introductory quilting. The classes will focus on the basics of quilting, including pattern selection, fabric basics, cutting, stitching, quilting, and binding. These classes are ideal for those with limited knowledge of sewing, but who are interested in making quilts. Most sessions will be taught on a one-on-one basis. This allows for the best use of your time as well as providing with the most individualized instruction. However, we can accommodate small groups (up to 3 people) if you and some friends would like to take the class together. Course Expectations
It will be expected that you have a number of items to be able to begin quilting. First, and foremost, you must have a sewing machine. During session 2, I can help you purchase any of the other items that you will want to have for quilting. This includes supplies for rotary cutting, pins, thread, and other notions that your particular design might call for. None of these expenses are covered under the cost for the session.
